i told my mom that god has killed babies in the bible and she didn’t believe me so i searched it up and to my surprise

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST
in conclusion god is an asshole
okay well I mean ten murders is still bad though so
god gambles with your souls pass it on
God killed everyone on earth, minus 8 people, because they were either no longer fully human (nephilim) or were just completely violent and corrupt. The fallen angels tried to corrupt woman’s seed because of God’s prophecy regarding Jesus.
God killed many Jews for many things, because they asked to be put under a do-good-get-good-do-bad-get-beat system, the opposite of the covenant God wanted to establish with them. 10 commandments, as well as the rest of the law, keep them all always to be blessed, break one to be cursed. Complaining=blasphemy. The law is impossible to keep, that’s the whole reason God accepted animal sacrifices (as a shadow of what Jesus would do).
God had Israel wipe out entire tribes of people, including babies, for the same reason he sent the flood. Those tribes were the devil’s attempt at another nephilim outbreak, thus the giants.
God let satan have his way with Job because Satan had a right to, having usurped Adam’s authority. God expressed His confidence in Job, but could not legally prevent the devil. Something Job wished for was a counselor, what Jesus is for us today, someone who would clear any legal right the devil has against us(our sin).
God is not an asshole gambling with our lives. God is light and love, and so loved the world that He came as a man to take all the punishment man has ever and will ever deserve. Evil lingers only because the enemy continues to blind the world to Jesus’ finished work in saving us, taking advantage of humanity without letting it know its rights in Christ given as a gift.
The enemy continues to do the only thing it can: lie about God. Satan would present Him as stingy, cruel, trigger-happy, and demanding. God loves us as we are, and gave everything He had to be able to legally bless us in spite of all our missed-marks. What He’s done in judgement, He’s done legally and righteously, even though it hurt Him to do it.
does anyone remember that episode of the powerpuff girls where mojo turns everyone in the world into dogs? And a sequel episode which was almost the exact same thing shot for shot with a slightly different ending? I haven’t felt more cheated.
